Easter Sunday we had an awesome morning praising the lord at church, then off the Grandma and Papa's house for dinner. Grandma made the best ham...absolutely delicious! Papa and Brady hid more eggs for the kids, then we all had a fun time jumping on the trampoline. Another great day!

When Hannah was little she always had to have something silky to cuddle with during the night. When Uncle Brandon went to Korea he sent back a queen silk sheet set for her to have. However,Wyatt came along and stole the sheets from her. And believe me, they are his pride an joy. He carries one of those sheets were ever he goes. Thankfully Grandma cut the sheets into little squares so he didn't have to drag the whole sheet around. Anyway, he thought Azlynn needed one after the egg hunt, so here's some pictures of them cuddling. Pretty cute!

Of course we topped off the night with a good Easter egg hunt. Brady's cousin Aubrey came with her 2 girls, Blaize and Azlynn. His G-ma and G-pa Tebow and his aunt and uncle were also able to spend the day with us. Harley and her cousin Kaya had a blast running allover the yard and the kids had so many eggs they were falling out of the basket. What a fun day!

The kids had a blast over the Easter weekend. What a blessing it his to have all of our family so close. Saturday we were able to spend the day at Gram and Pops house. Of course we had to color eggs. Wyatt just kept dipping his egg in the blue dye over and over. His of course had a ball drawn on it so he made sure everyone new which one was his!

More Zoo Fun

Here's some more pics we took at the zoo. A friend of ours "Becca" and her son "Jonah" were kind enough to share free tickets with us. The kids absolutely love it and they're exhausted, ready for a nap when we're done, which is awesome for me! The weather turned out to be pretty goo, except for our always present Kansas wind.

Go Away Snow!

Of course we have nice 60 degree weather during the week when Brady's at work. Then weekend comes around and now we have snow! So what do we do when there's nothing to do outside......go bowling of course! Our last experience bowling with Wyatt wasn't too much fun. It was more a morning of chasing him around while he thought he could run down the lanes. This time, however, the little guy was able to pick up, carry his own 6Ib ball and toss it down the lane. Much more enjoyable:) He and Hannah took turns tossing the ball down, I think for a grand total score of 34, but who's keeping track, right. Anyway, had lots of fun only to have the evening ruined by KU stinkin up the court against Northern Iowa. Looks like this household is left cheering for the beard...GO CATS!!

Wyatt's New Best Friend

Wyatt just so happens to be obsessed with our new dog Harley. It's gotten to the point where we've been forced to hide the dog food and treats, so Wyatt can't find them. He fed her so many dog biscuits without my knowledge one day that she threw up. On the other hand, she's been so good to have around. She gives Wyatt someone to constantly pick on and wrestle with. I think they're a perfect match!

Zoo Fun

Enjoyed the zoo with some good friends. Yes it was chilly, but the kids had a blast..and they were so worn out by the time we got home, which meant long naps for me!

Tubes!!

My tough little man had to get tubes in his ears a couple of weeks ago. I absolutely hate seeing little ones go through surgical procedures, but man is the end result so much better. The crankiness in much improved, thank the lord!

He hated his hospital gown, but loved that he could draw on his pillow. My cell phone seemed to be the saving grace. Thank god for technology!

The Best Gift Ever!!

Mom and Dad gave Brady and I tickets to the George Strait and Reba concert. Yes, I can't believe it...2 date nights in less than 2 weeks. I felt spoiled! The concert was excellant...awesome seats, too!

Back In Action

So after about a year off I'm taking a stab at this blogging life again. So much has happened this past year I feel like I need somewhere to record our family's "happenings," so not to be forgotten. I really don't know where to start...after reminiscing through old pictures I found a few to enjoy. First, for valetines day Brady and I had an awesom lobster dinner with my parents and aunt and uncle. So refreshing to have a date night once in a while!

Hannah did an excellent job skiing for her first time! Mom and Dad let her ski between their legs until she got comfortable w/it. Then she went down the hill all by herself. She looked so little!! I think her favorite part was riding the lift back up the hill. She's a natural little ski bunny!!

Colorado or Bust!!

Finally I have a few seconds to myself to post some pics of what's been going on in our lives. We just got back last week from an amazing trip to Vail, CO. Thank you Mom and Dad!!! We had a blast and it was so nice to have the whole family together. Brandon was able to make it from Texas and G-ma and G-pa from Hays. We were a little worried the first day out since there was only 1 ski lift open due to lack of snow. To our surprise, the first night it snowed 8inches and never stopped until the morning we left. On the last day, almost all of the runs were open and we had fresh powder to ski on. It was amazing!!

Vaccinations.....Good or Bad??????

Just a little note for anyone who reads my blog, in hope that people will look into what vaccines their children are receiving. I'm not trying to convince against vaccines, I'm only trying to help everyone become more educated about risks and benfits of each vaccine. This way parents can become involved and make an educated decision on which vaccines their children are to receive, as well as what signs and symptoms to look for in case of reaction. The website www.909shot.com is a very informative site. I think I put a link at the bottom of this entry.
My son Wyatt received his 2 month shots, then 2 days later a horrible rash appeared on his chest, back, legs and arms. The rash turned into sores on his back, causing him to scream every time he was in his car seat or sweaty. My husband and I questioned whether the vaccines caused this reaction, but took him to a Dermatologist anyway. Wyatt received 3 different ointments that did not work. To make a long story short Dr Scharenberg(chiropracter), related the rash to the vaccines, treated him using Diothermy and the rash was gone in 2 days. I then attempted multiple times to voice my concerns w/the Pediatrician and his nurses, but was never heard. Wyatt ended up receiving his 4-month vaccines and an hour later had hives allover his chest and back. The Dr. was worried this was going to cause breathing difficulties and possibly anaphylactic shock. He placed Wyatt on Prednisone and instructed me to watch him very carefully throughout the night. He's currently on the Prednisone, which is making his stomach hurt and giving him insomnia. All in all, Wyatt is ok, but I don't want any other parent to have this experience. Please educate yourself on possible side effects and make your voice heard w/your Pediatrician. I feel I let Wyatt down by not making sure the Dr listened to my concerns an answered my questions. Please don't you do the same. You are your childs only voice!!

Brady's Pride Possession

Since I am a widow every year from October to December, I had to post these pictures of Brady's 12-point he killed the morning after Halloween. I'm ecstatic that he's finished so early this year. You should have seen the look on our neighbors face when he and his friend Travis had a photo-shoot in our front yard. Quite a site!!

Mom and I took the kids, finally, to the pumpkin patch Halloween day. We had a blast. There was a huge pillow jumper (the coolest thing ever) which took up the majority of our time. It's like a huge trampoline w/no weight limit and sand on the sides to cushion your fall. Hannah enjoyed the bin full of corn. She's making a snow (corn) angel in one of the pics. We then found ourselves lost in the corn maze for about an hour. We had to make our own path to get out!Tons of fun!!

Lessons of Life

So trying to educate my child and teach lessons of life are a little bit more difficult than planned. Hannah received a new bedroom set for her birthday, so her and I spent the day before cleaning out her room and toys. I thought to myself that this would be a good opportunity for a lesson. I showed her all of her stuffed animals and explained that there are some kids that don't have any animals and that some kids mommies and daddies cannot afford to buy them any toys. I could tell she was really thinking about what I said. She then asked, "Where do these kids live?" I told her there are kids like this allover and some kids even have to live on the street, b/c they do not have a home. Then she got tears in her eyes and said "Mom, they're going to get smashed on the street." Long story short, this comment is coming from the song that Grandma taught her about the meatball on top of sphaghetti that rolls off onto the floor, out the door, and into the street where it gets smashed. So quickly changing the subject, I asked if she would be willing to sort through her animals and pick some out to give away to other kids. I left her alone to sort, there's a picture to show her 2 piles. I bet you can't guess which pile was to keep. We all have to start small, right!! Anyway,I was proud of myself thinking she learned a little bit about generousity and not taking things for granted. Later that night she woke up crying, "Mommy why do I have to give my toys away!!" Absolutely would not go back to sleep until I told her she could keep the toys. So..lesson not so well learned, but...I tried!! Here's some pics of Hannah's new room. Thanks Poppa and Grandma!!! She loves it!!

3rd Birthday already...I can't believe it. My baby girl is growing up way too fast!! Of course she requested to have a Dora party and eat her favorite food..spaghetti. Myself on the other hand, will be ecstatic when the days of Dora and Diego and their ear piercing voices are over, but for now I'll deal b/c Hannah had a great time. Spoiled as always, she got way to many presents. Her lovely Aunt Brandi got her some glitter makeup, which Hannah thought she could do all by herself the next morning. I don't know if you've ever tried to clean up glitter, but it's not so much fun. Hannah's Grammy made her the cutest clothes ever which I'll have to post later (the pics didn't turn out) and Grandma and Papa got her a new bedroom set which I'm completely jealous about. Maybe sometime in the next 30 years Brady and I can afford our own bedroom set (I won't hold my breath!) Anyways, the party was great, I just wish time would slow down. Kids grow up way too fast!!

Sometimes I have to sit back and thank the lord for putting some people in my life. Since Wyatt was about 6 weeks old he began to get extremely fussy and would cry inconsolably every night for about 2 to 3 hours. He was up every hour at night and cranky during the day. After switching pediatricians, starting multiple medications for reflux, purchasing special pillows to keep him upright while sleeping, and countless hours of pacing and bouncing, I finally listened to some advice of a friend. We took Wyatt to a chiropractor, of all things. After 7 treatments....bless the lord..he is a new baby!! Dr Scharenberg has been a savior...I placed a link to his website on the right of my page. He explained colic as a weakening of a muscle in between the small and large intestine, causing digested material to back up and cause bloating and pain in the intestines. After a couple of treatments to strengthen the muscle and a change in diet for me, he is much better. Now...if we could just get him to take a bottle so I could go back to work, life would be wonderful!!!

Mom and I were able to get away for a couple of days to see G-ma and G-pa Weigel in Hays. We took Hannah to the zoo and had a picnic in the park. Wyatt was pretty happy since he never got put down. I was pumped to do some shopping which I haven't had a chance to do since Wyatt blessed us. Always nice to have an extra hand during the day, too. I have a whole new respect for parents that have more than 2 kids!!

Gymnastics

Hannah just finished up her gymnastics class, she loved swinging on the rings!! I took a few pics on her last day. Some of them are a little dark from being in the gym. In a couple weeks she's going to take a pre-dance class. She's already been practicing w/her tap shoes on our kitchen tile (drives Brady and I a little crazy!!)

Sleep deprived!!

Been a long time since I've posted. Having troubles w/Wyatt's reflux problems. He's been very cranky, which means Brady and I don't get much sleep. Hopefully things will start to improve..we see a new pediatrician tomorrow. Crossing our fingers that we can get some different answers!! Pray for us!! Here are some new pictures when he's feeling good.

4th of July

We spent the 4th at Papa & Grandma's house. G-ma and G-pa Weigel came to town as well as my Aunt and Uncle and their family. Dad grilled some awesome food, we enjoyed the swimming pool, then watched fireworks before the night was over. Hannah and Wyatt didn't care so much for the loud noise of the fireworks, so I spent that part of the evening inside. We had a good time!

Hannah's Weekend at Papa & Grandma's

Hannah got to stay w/Papa and Grandma while we were in the hospital. I don't think she was very excited to come home after all the fun stuff she did with them. Papa took her to "Pump it Up" where she went down the big slide all by herself. She got to go out to eat, build Wyatt a new Build-a-Bear named Bearamy, go swimming, and help Grandma w/all the fun chores around the house.

So a lot has happened since my last blog..I'm very slow at keeping this updated! Hopefully I'll be quicker now. Most importantly, Brady and I had a new little boy June 20th. "Wyatt Halston" 7ibs 13oz. Hannah is extremely happy to be a big sister. She has a lot of new duties like helping w/diaper changes and getting his pacifier. She's an awesome little helper. Brady and I are trying to adjust now to very little sleep. Wyatt thinks he needs to eat everytime he's awake and every 2 hours at night, but we're doing just fine. We feel so lucky and blessed to have a new healthy baby in our family!

83rd Birthday Party

Grandpa Cross celebrated his 83rd birthday party the other night. We were fortunate to have most of the family together, including dad and his 2 brothers. Grandpa was blessed to have a night back at home, since he now lives in an assisted living facility. Hannah also got to have some playtime w/her 2nd cousin Malakai, who was visiting from Texas. I think she spent most of the evening practicing to be a big sister.

Mother's Day

Had a great Mother's Day this year...It's amazing how the meaning of the day changes when you actually have a little one to hug you and say "Happy Mother's Day!" That's the best feeling ever. We spent most of the afternoon at Brady's parents w/his G-ma and G-pa from Oklahoma. Hannah and Kamden had a blast on the 4 wheelers, even though they got stuck quite a few times. Poppy taught some of his baseball skills, then all the kids thought Brandi needed to wrestle a little bit......just a great day!!

Out of the Ordinary

So here I am, out of my comfort zone trying something new. My sister-in-law introduced me to the whole world of blogging, so I thought I would give it a try. Scrap-booking, keeping up w/photo albums and baby books just hasn't been my thing. Since we have a brand new baby boy on the way in June, maybe I can keep track of the mile-stones a little better.
